A message from outgoing President Maui Meyer

Well here we are. Wrapping up the Rotary Year and heading into a new year!

All the seats rotate, and on July 1st you’ll have Michael Margotta calling the shots for the 24/25 year, with Lee and Jon in support.

I can’t thank the people who keep Rotary running enough. I am so very grateful for everything that you all do. Ken, Jim, you keep the club together, and on behalf of Myself and Rotary, Thank you. Rountree, Pete, Jon, The Board, the committee members....Vern, Ken and Judy, who are now the committee people in charge of our marquee events.... raising our funds, and giving it away.

The list goes on and on. If I missed anyone, please accept my apologies.

Last month I pointed out that the point of all the work by the board and members of Hood River Rotary, was to GROW rotary. But we can’t grow without your commitment. And by Commitment, I mean your Time. Your Attention.

If there is one thing I’ve learned this year it’s this. After years of choosing to participate with Treasure over Time, I can now see that we need both, and we EACH need to contribute both. One can’t simply pay their way through Rotary, and not show up.

To survive, Rotary needs your Attention, and your Intention.
